Dragon Deals is a multi-author PNR promotion featuring free reads with dragons. (How can this be a bad thing?) The books are all free, some at the online portals and some via BookFunnel. You’ll find Kiss of Fire and Wyvern’s Mate among the offerings.
This sale is short, from October 31 through November 2, so don’t delay!
I hope you find something new and hot for your book hoard…

There’s a new family tree available for free download in my online store. It’s the Line of the Smith, which shows Quinn’s heritage.
You can download it free right here.
I’ve been looking at options for those of you who want to buy the entire series of Dragonfire novels in trade paperback or in the hardcover collectors’ editions. I do have both listed for sale in my online store: here’s the paperback series and here’s the hardcover series. If you order them here, your books will be signed by me.
They’ll also be shipped from the printer in the US to me in Canada, then shipped by me to you, wherever you might be. That’s a lot of shipping cost, as the whole collection is comparatively heavy.
I’ve found an alternative in the US, which would mean that the books would be shipped from the US directly to you. (This option would work best for those of you who live in the US.) The books would not be signed, because they wouldn’t come to me at all, but the price would be lower – both because they’d only be shipped once, and because they’d only be shipped within the US and that postage is cheaper than international postage. I could send signed bookplates to anyone who ordered this way instead.
I have to set up an online store through this service – which is managed by the good people who print my books in the first place – so would like to have an idea whether it’s an interesting possibility for you or not.
What do you think?
I’ve been sketching out my plans for DragonFate and thought you might like an update. I’ve had this series mapped out in my imagination for years, and it’s fun to be finally working on it. I’m making notes and sketches, and have begun to write some of the early schemes. Once the groundwork is done, the rest of the writing should proceed quite quickly. A big part of what’s been going on this year has been getting all of Dragonfire back into my head. I’ve been going through the books in that series and making notes, then filling out the records for Here Be Dragons: The Dragonfire Companion. I’ve also been compiling family trees for the Pyr.
As this series has taken shape, I’ve realized that it’s going to be a shorter and more tightly linked series of books. Each book will include a firestorm and a primary romance, but there will be more overlapping threads and ongoing stories that continue from book to book. Because of that, I know you’ll want to be able to go from one to the next fairly quickly. So, I’ve put off the publication date for book one, in order to have most or all of the books written before publication begins. I’m hoping to launch in the summer of 2019, and might enroll the series in Kindle Unlimited for 90 days before going into wide distribution. In the meantime, I’m going to share some of those early scenes with you.
On the 23rd, you’ll be able to read the first of those early scenes. It’s appearing as a guest post and short story on another blog (promoting the authors attending Coastal Magic 2019 – which includes me!) so stop back here for a link on the 23rd.
I’ll share a second scene with you in November, right here on the blog.
I’m setting up a virtual tour of the fictional realm of Dragonfire, which will begin with Kiss of Fire. The idea is that each week, you’ll make another stop on the tour and each stop will feature a book in the series. We’ll go through them in order. You’ll get a peek behind the scenes at the creation of the book and some of my inspiration, as well as some special offers for subscribers. This virtual tour is still being organized, and I expect it to launch in January 2019. You can sign up now, though, and will get your first message in January.
You can sign up for this tour right here.
I’m participating in the Fangs, Fur, and Immortals paranormal romance promotion this month at BookFunnel. Promotions like this are great ways to discover new series to love.
You’ll find Kiss of Fire on the landing page as well as Wyvern’s Mate, plus a lot more paranormal romance reads.
Here’s the landing page. Happy browsing!
