To enter the giveaway, subscribers told me whether they preferred dragon shifter paranormal romances with:
• dragon shifter heroes and heroines with no special powers
• dragon shifter heroes and dragon shifter heroines
• dragon shifter heroes and heroines with powers of their own
• dragon shifter heroines and heroes with powers of their own
There were a lot of replies and different explanations as to why anyone favored a specific one. The results were pretty well scattered, with the possibility of two dragon shifters together being the least popular. One reader pointed out that they would be too much the same then, which sounds quite reasonable.
Of course, I’ve written a few of these structures. The Dragonfire Novels feature dragon shifter heroes and heroines with no special powers. The Dragons of Incendium series features dragon shifter heroines and heroes, some of whom have special powers and some of whom don’t. And DragonFate will feature dragon shifter heroes and heroines with special powers of their own. More about that in next week’s newsletter.
The winner of the signed book was Karin, and it’s on its way to her now.
