Wyvern’s Mate is discounted to 99¢! This is the first book in my Dragons of Incendium PNR/SFR series — if you haven’t started reading about my dragon shifter princesses from space, here’s your chance!
I love this story and its mix of sci-fi and fantasy elements. It’s an enemies-to-lovers story that begins with Troy and Drakina determined to assassinate each other, but desire gets in the way. Just one time, they both reason, but you can guess already that once won’t be enough. For this series, I wanted the heroines to be the dragon shifters, although the heroes also have powers of their own.
The Dragons of Incendium series is in progress. The structure of this series is that there’s a romance, then a short story, alternating as we go along. Each romance and the next short story are bundled together in the print edition of that romance.
This Pinterest link shows all the pins from my Dragons of Incendium boards, jumbled up. If you click through, you’ll see that each book has its own board, plus there are links for Arcana and her sons, and for Incendium itself. You’ll also find a link to each book’s specific board on that book’s page here on the site.
You probably noticed that there isn’t a pre-order set up for the next DragonFate novel, or even a cover for you to check out. That’s because I’m not sure whose story will be next. There are several possibilities.
I had thought that Alasdair would be next – it’s time for him to be healed enough for his firestorm, and I like Yasmina – but then Wynter showed up at Bones. The energy between Wynter and Arach is interesting, and I like the idea of writing about wolf shifters with attitude. They might jump queue.
On the other hand, things are intriguing between Sebastian and Sylvia. I’ve left them in an interesting place but want to know more. Is it time to step away from the dragons to explore a little vampire romance?
Another contender is the romance of Theo and Mel, with the love triangle of Raymond. Theo and Mel have been in the background so far, and this is the story I was most intrigued about writing when I began this series. Hmm.
In the meantime, now that the magick has gone back to Regalia, it’s a good opportunity to return to its sister planet of Incendium. Oh, and the next hero there is Nero, an aspiring wizard. What a perfect coincidence! Look for Wyvern’s Wizard next, probably in the summer. I won’t put up a pre-order for this one until the book is done. I need a little break from deadlines right now.
Since my dragon shifter princesses from space moved onto this website, I’ve updated their ebook interiors. They were due for a little review anyway. The url for the Dragons of Incendium website is repointed to this site, but it won’t find the tab on its own (that link goes to it) and the subsidiary links will go 404. I’ve updated the landing page links and the listed resources in the ebooks. If you own the books, you should be able to download these versions as updates at your portal of choice.
I’ve also updated the print book interiors for the same reason—that affects mostly the reader letter with its resource links.
And, wonder of wonders, I’ve been able to update the series information at Amazon, so all of the works in the world are displayed in the same series. I just about fell off my chair when this worked, since the ‘Zon and I have gone around about it in the past, but there you go.
It’s a fine day for all eleven works in the Dragons of Incendium series. 🙂
Don’t forget that Wyvern’s Mate is on sale for just 99cents. Why not start the series today?!
Wyvern’s Mate, book one of the Dragons of Incendium series, is 99 cents!
Troy will do whatever is necessary to earn his freedom from solitary confinement on the penal colony of Xanto, even assassinate a princess of Incendium. Being a MindBender, he has a serious advantage as a predator and thinks the princess in question doesn’t have a chance. Only one of them can survive and Troy knows who it will be—until he meets Drakina.
Royal dragon shifter Drakina has a quest of her own, to seduce her destined mate and conceive the crown prince of Incendium. Her father will free her from all other responsibilities if she completes this one task. Drakina craves her independence enough to seduce the unattractive Terran who is the Carrier of the Seed. She’s sure it will be a quick seduction—until she meets Troy.
Worlds collide when Troy and Drakina meet, and passion flares. The attraction is so powerful that they both choose to put their goals aside for one night of passion together. When their respective secrets are revealed, will the truth turn one against the other? Or will destiny allow this star-crossed pair to save each other and their unborn son?
“WYVERN’S MATE is a quick read; a fast paced novella length story of romance and love; duty and honor; magic and dragons…The premise is entertaining-almost science fiction is its presentation; the characters are colorful and animated; the romance is a quick build to a happily ever after. A wonderful start to a new series.”
The mass market edition of Wyvern’s Mate includes the short story Nero’s Dream.

I’m making some changes to my websites this month, and the biggest change will be the dragon shifter princesses from space moving in, here on the Dragonfire Novels website. (I’ll miss the big Incendium banner on that site but maybe I can find the original and resize it for this one.)
I’ve moved all of the content from the Dragons of Incendium website, which will keep all of my paranormal romances together. The Incendium url now just points here.
You’ll find the content on its own (new) tab, Incendium. The world guides and other references are there, too.
The other part of this task is updating to WordPress’s block editor, which has some cool features (once you get used to it). The pages should look better, especially on your phone, with the new formatting, plus I get to use these fun little buy buttons, like the ones on the new page for Wyvern’s Mate. I’ve added some more buying options, too, especially for print books. You’ll also see the new option on that page for sharing an audiobook sample on the Wyvern’s Mate page. I’m sure there are a lot of other nifty features that I’ll discover as I migrate my pages to the new format. (The block editor actually reminds me of Vellum, the application I use to format my ebooks.)
Once all this is done, I’ll update the ebooks of the Dragons of Incendium, so that the links for the landing pages for the books refer to this site. (They’re due for an update anyway.)
I’ve also upgraded the plan on this website, which allows me to add Paypal buttons to the pages. This is a cool way for me to offer signed books directly to you. I’ll put the links on each book page, and the series bundles on the Store tab. I’ve already done this for the contemporary romances on my main website – you can see how it looks on the page for Just One Fake Date – and now for the Incendium books here.
That’s my plan for September – in addition to, yes, writing the rest of Dragon’s Mate. 🙂
